As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Kids Therapy Clinics Australia, you will provide evidence-informed assessment and intervention to children and young people, supporting functional participation across home, school and community environments. You will work with children and young people with a broad range of developmental and neurodevelopmental support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delay, sensory processing differences and functional developmental challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive paediatric OT assessments
- Develop individualised, functional and measurable therapy goals
- Deliver one-to-one occupational therapy interventions
- Develop therapy programs tailored to each child's developmental and functional needs
- Work collaboratively with parents and caregivers
- Liaise with schools, educators and other professionals where appropriate
- Participate in multidisciplinary planning with Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Therapists and other clinicians
- Complete high-quality clinical documentation, progress reports and NDIS reports
- Monitor outcomes and modify intervention programs according to the child's progress
- Provide practical strategies that can be generalised across home, school and community environments
About you
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Current Working With Children Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent clinical documentation and report-writing skills
- A commitment to evidence-informed and child-centred practice
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in paediatrics, autism, or developmental delay is highly regarded but not essential
