Public Sector People are currently seeking an experienced Parks Worker for a temporary opportunity with Sunshine Coast Council in Maroochydore.

Position Details

- Role: Parks Worker
- Council: Sunshine Coast Council
- Location: Maroochydore
- Pay Rate: $43.51 per hour
- Engagement Type: Casual
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

About the Role Working as part of Council’s Parks and Gardens team, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of parks, gardens, natural areas and public open spaces across the Sunshine Coast.

Duties may include:

- Mowing and turf management
- Planting, weeding, mulching and pruning
- Irrigation and general horticultural maintenance
- Plant propagation
- Operating and maintaining gardening machinery and equipment

Requirements

- Certificate III in Horticulture
- White Card
- Current C Class Driver Licence (MR highly desirable)
- AC/DC licence, chainsaw or ride-on mower experience/tickets highly desirable
