Your Role

As a part-time Driver, you’ll be at the heart of Army operations, enabling the mass distribution of troops, equipment, armoured vehicles, fuel and supplies.

It’s a role that’s crucial to the success of the Army, supporting important combat missions and enabling capability on exercise and operations.

And the best part? You’ll get to drive a range of high-spec military vehicles that are unique to the Army Reserve. These include high-performance 4WDs, tank-carrying transporters, off-road forklifts, trucks, road trains and fuel tankers.

Boost your Income The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience. On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least $216/day tax-free.

Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.

Eligibility For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics. You must also have a provisional or full driver’s licence.
