The Payroll Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our disability support organisation in Geelong. This part-time position is essential for maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and providing support to our staff regarding payroll-related queries.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of our payroll system, ensuring that all employees are compensated correctly and on time., * Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure all data is up to date and secure.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required.
- Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
About The Candidate
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to confidently use formulas, functions, queries and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
