About the role

Zoom Recruitment is seeking a detail oriented Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Keilor Park, VIC 3042, this role is fundamental to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organisation. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role processing payroll for our external workforce across multiple awards and enterprise agreements. You'll be a key part of a payroll function backed by a supportive team and strong systems.

Key responsibilities

- Process and administer payroll for employees on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Maintain accurate employee records
- Calculate and process employee entitlements including wages, superannuation contributions and employee benifits in accordance with awards and enterprise agreements
- Liaise with employees and managers regarding payroll queries and employment-related matters
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
- Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes

What we're looking for

- Experience as a Payroll Officer in a complex, high-volume environment




- FastTrack360 experience highly regarded
- Strong award, EBA and agreement interpretation skills — core to this role
- Experience paying a casualised workforce with timesheets across multiple awards and agreements
- High-level Excel and strong payroll systems capability
- Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and tax obligations
- Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Solid time management and a sense of urgency to meet tight pay deadlines
- A solutions-first mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
