Our government client is seeking a Payroll Officer for a 3-month contract, based in Sydney, to provide guidance and support to employees on a range of pay related matters and to work with payroll providers to ensure that information is accurate and complete.
Key Duties/Deliverables
- Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per relevant awards, individual employment agreements and other legislative requirements.
- Drive and lead all pay runs to ensure delivery is successful and time effective.
- Interpreting awards/agreements/contracts/policies and communicating these to employees in a simple and concise way.
- End to end payroll processing in accordance with legislations and company procedures.
- Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organisation.
- Preparing, balancing and reconciling superannuation and third party vendor payments
- Undertaking required statutory reporting.
Key Skills and Capabilities
- Understanding of a payroll system and its relationship to the Human Capital Management System (HCMS)
- Well-developed understanding of SAP SuccessFactors – EC and ECP
- A range experience in payroll processing and coordination
- Tertiary level qualification in finance or accounting or equivalent
