The Role The Personal Assistant to the Director of Junior School (DJS) is a pivotal role that provides high-level executive and administrative support to enable the effective leadership, operations and strategic direction of the Junior School. Reporting directly to the Director of Junior School, you will operate as a trusted partner, managing priorities, coordinating workflows and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Director's office. Combining exceptional organisation with sound judgement and discretion, you will anticipate needs, manage competing demands and provide proactive support across a broad range of operational, strategic and community-focused initiatives.
As a key point of connection between the Director, College Executive, staff, students, parents and external stakeholders, you will represent the College with professionalism, warmth and integrity. The role also plays a significant part in coordinating Junior School events, communications and projects that contribute to an outstanding educational experience for students and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Director of Junior School's workflow, diary and priorities to ensure the efficient delivery of operational and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate meetings, events and College initiatives, ensuring seamless planning, communication and execution.
- Build strong relationships with staff, families and stakeholders, providing a skilled and responsive first point of contact for the Director's office.
- Prepare and manage high-quality correspondence, reports, briefings and documentation that support informed decision-making and effective communication.
- Drive effective office systems, record management and follow-up processes that ensure accountability, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Support the successful delivery of Junior School programs and activities through proactive administration, coordination and problem-solving.

- Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive or administrative support in a busy and complex environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines and changing demands.
- Strong diary, workflow and office management capabilities, coupled with a proactive and highly organised approach.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
- Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and other business administration systems.
- A collaborative and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
