# Your Pet Could Be Someone's Best Part of the Week ❤️
Do you have a friendly, well-behaved pet that loves meeting new people?
As a Volunteer Pet Visitor, you and your furry (or feathered!) companion can bring comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles to HammondCare residents.
Spend time chatting with residents
Share cuddles, pats, and happy moments
Help spark treasured memories of beloved pets
Brighten someone's day through the special connection that animals provide
Visits are relaxed, rewarding, and versatile. You may enjoy one-on-one visits with residents or join small group activities where your pet can be the star of the show! ⭐
Whether you have a gentle dog, calm cat, or another suitable companion animal, your visits can make a meaningful difference to residents' wellbeing and quality of life. No special skills are required, just a caring nature and a pet that enjoys being around people.
When: Weekly for 1 hour
Days: Monday or Tuesday afternoons from 2:30pm
Location: HammondCare
Weekend opportunities may also be available for volunteers with experience in dementia care.
Join us and help create moments of joy, comfort, and connection, one paw at a time! ✨
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
