Description Position Title: Pharmacist - Senior Location: Sub-Acute Care Unit, Cairns Remuneration: $4912.70 to $5286.40 per fortnight
Support recovery at every step. Get paid to live in paradise and join the Sub-Acute Care Unit as a Senior Pharmacist. In this role you will manage a complex and diverse caseload with a high level of professional autonomy, initiative and clinical expertise, while driving service development and promoting best-practice, patient-centred care.
About Us Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
The Cairns Hospital Sub Acute Care Unit is a sub-acute unit (SACU) staffed by a skilled multidisciplinary team as part of the Cairns Hospital.
The Sub Acute Care Unit is a 48-bed unit promoting recovery towards discharge home or to other post discharge options. The SACU unit provides rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management, psychogeriatric and palliative care types. The unit has a number of beds providing specialist dementia care for those with behavioural support needs. SACU is located on a separate campus from the main hospital.
About You In your new role you will......
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures that support the continuum of care engaging cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
- Provide high level clinical advice to qualified and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other relevant stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
