Your new role
As a PKI - Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of a large-scale enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) program. As the subject-matter expert for cryptographic services, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure certificate management frameworks while ensuring alignment with security, governance, and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of enterprise PKI solutions.
- Designing and implementing cryptographic architectures and certificate management frameworks.
- Developing PKI strategies, security policies, and Certificate Practice Statements.
- Driving automation initiatives to improve certificate life cycle management and operational efficiency.
- Providing technical leadership and consultancy across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Managing stakeholder engagement and ensuring successful delivery and operational transition of PKI services.
- Evaluating emerging cryptographic technologies and recommending security improvements.
- Supporting disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and audit compliance activities.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring a strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate and adopt emerging security technologies. You'll also need:
- Extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale PKI programs as a lead engineer or technical specialist.
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic technologies, authentication protocols, certificates, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Experience designing and implementing certificate lifecycle automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience producing technical documentation, architecture designs, and operational procedures.
