About The Role The PMO Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing and continuously improving project governance, reporting frameworks, processes, standards, and controls across Atmos Renewables' portfolio of projects.

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the role serves as the central coordination point for project governance, ensuring consistent and timely reporting, effective decision-making, and disciplined project controls across the Development and Delivery stages of the project.

The PMO Manager will work closely with Executive Leadership, Management, Functional Leads, Project/Development Managers and other stakeholders to provide accurate portfolio/project insights, maintain governance compliance, and drive continuous improvement in project practices.

Key Responsibilities Governance, Controls & Assurance

- Develop, implement, and maintain project governance frameworks and standards across development and delivery portfolio.
- Establish and manage project stage-gate processes, governance requirements, approval workflows, and decision registers.
- Ensure projects comply with internal governance requirements, delegated authorities, policies, procedures, and reporting obligations.
- Monitor governance compliance and proactively identify areas requiring corrective action or process improvement.
- Coordinate Steering Committee meetings, governance forums, and executive reviews.
- Manage governance documentation including stage-gate submissions, and lessons learned.
- Drive audit and assurance activities across the project portfolio.

Portfolio Reporting & Performance Management

- Develop and maintain portfolio reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
- Consolidate project information from Development and Delivery teams to create accurate, timely, and insightful portfolio reporting.
- Coordinate executive, board, and steering committee reports.
- Manage timely and accurate reporting of progress against key project milestones, budgets, schedules, risks, opportunities, and strategic objectives.
- Ensure reporting consistency across all projects through standardised formats and methodologies.
- Drive reporting discipline and accountability across project teams.




- Analyse portfolio trends and provide recommendations to improve project outcomes and organisational performance.

Project Management Standards & Continuous Improvement

- Establish and maintain project management templates, tools, and standardised documentation.
- Develop and continuously improve project management methodologies, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure consistent application of project controls across all projects.
- Lead initiatives to improve reporting quality, document management, and project controls maturity.
- Facilitate lessons learned reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
- Support capability development and best-practice project management across Development and Delivery teams.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

- Build effective working relationships with Project Managers, Development Managers, Functional Leads, Executive Leadership, Management, and corporate support functions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to project teams on governance requirements, reporting expectations, and project controls.
- Influence stakeholders to drive governance compliance and adoption of standardised processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve reporting, governance, and delivery challenges.
- Support effective communication between project teams, leadership, and external stakeholders where required.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in project controls, PMO, project management, governance, or portfolio management within renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and managing project governance frameworks and reporting systems.
- Experience preparing executive, board, and steering committee reporting.
- Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles across development and delivery and phases, including commissioning, and handover phases.
- Experience implementing project management methodologies, standards, templates, and controls.
- Advanced proficiency in project reporting and portfolio management tools.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project risks and controls.
- Experience supporting complex renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, BESS, transmission, or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

- Experience with project portfolio management, schedule management, and reporting systems.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.

Work Environment

- Office-based role, based in Melbourne, with occasional travel to Sydney.
- Hybrid working model (3 days per week in the Melbourne office).
- Rare travel to project sites, as required.

You will be eligible to earn a short-term incentive of up to 20% of your Salary with respect to each complete calendar year during your employment, subject to the achievement of company and personal performance hurdles ( STI ).

Performance hurdles with respect to each calendar year and the weighting to be given to such hurdles will be determined by us and advised to you. Whether or not such hurdles are met and the extent to which such hurdles are met will be determined by us exercising our sole discretion.
