Working as part of a national grounds maintenance company, you will be responsible for coordinating a small team and ensuring commercial gardens, lawns and landscaped areas are maintained to a high standard. You will be hands‑on in the field, operating equipment, managing daily tasks and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
Lead and supervise a small grounds maintenance team
Coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed on schedule
Lawn mowing, edging and general turf maintenance
Hedging, pruning and whipper snipping
Weed control and spraying
General gardening, landscaping and grounds maintenance
Safely operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment
Maintain commercial gardens and landscaped areas to a high standard
Follow site safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture
Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients when required
About you
Minimum 3 years' experience in horticulture, landscaping or grounds maintenance
Previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded
Current White Card
Current Manual Driver's Licence
Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
Robust knowledge of garden, turf and general grounds maintenance
Experience operating a range of gardening and landscaping equipment
Ability to work independently and lead a small team by example
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Work with an established national company
Varied commercial sites across Sydney
Hands‑on leadership role
