Set amongst towering trees providing a leafy outlook from most vantage points, our Care Community has many peaceful areas inside and out. Our memory care neighbourhood provides a safe and inclusive environment for residents who are living with dementia.
About the role
- $33.65 - $36.60 (Dependant on experience and qualifications) plus 12% superannuation.
- Permanent Full-Time opportunity
- Monday to Friday
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks across buildings, equipment, gardens, grounds and shared spaces. You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the care community by responding promptly to maintenance requests, completing minor repairs, coordinating contractors when required and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, respectful manner.
- Complete preventative maintenance checks and maintain accurate records.
- Support compliance with workplace health and safety, fire safety and aged care quality requirements.
- Monitor the condition of buildings, fittings, escalating issues where required.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, safe and attractive indoor and outdoor areas for residents and visitors.
- Build positive working relationships with residents, families, staff and contractors.
About you
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping role (aged care experience a plus).
- Trade qualification or relevant technical experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience in aged care, health care, retirement living or a community services setting is desirable.
- Good practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and manual handling requirements.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance request systems or complete records.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to complete pre-employment medical, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
