A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Analyst to join its Portfolio Risk Management function.

This role provides analytical and operational support across a diverse Commercial Real Estate lending portfolio. Working closely with experienced portfolio and risk professionals, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality portfolio data, supporting regular reporting requirements and assisting with the ongoing monitoring of lending exposures.

The position would suit someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working with data, reporting and financial information, and is looking to develop their experience within commercial real estate lending and portfolio management.

Portfolio Analysis & Reporting

- Assist with the preparation of recurring portfolio reports, dashboards, watchlists and exception reporting.
- Collect and consolidate portfolio information from internal systems and approved data sources.
- Support daily, weekly and periodic reporting requirements across the CRE portfolio.
- Review reporting outputs to identify discrepancies and ensure information is accurate and complete.
- Assist senior team members with portfolio analysis and monitoring activities.

Data Quality & Reconciliation

- Perform regular checks across loan and portfolio data to identify gaps, anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Reconcile information between source systems, reporting databases and portfolio reports.
- Investigate data discrepancies and escalate material issues where appropriate.
- Maintain organised reporting files, supporting documentation and appropriate version control.

Portfolio Monitoring

- Assist in maintaining portfolio watchlists and monitoring registers in line with established risk criteria.




- Track outstanding data issues, exceptions and other items requiring follow-up.
- Support the preparation of information and analysis for portfolio review and risk meetings.
- Assist with ongoing portfolio governance and monitoring processes.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Help maintain data quality and integrity across CRE portfolio management and reporting systems.
- Participate in system testing, data validation and implementation of reporting enhancements.
- Assist with process reviews and identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures and control frameworks, escalating issues where required.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Respond to internal requests relating to portfolio information and reporting.
- Work with teams across Credit, Operations, Portfolio Management and other functions to source and validate information.
- Provide analytical and administrative support to senior analysts and portfolio management professionals.

Skills & Experience:
- Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
- An understanding of commercial real estate lending, credit or loan structures would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and performing data validation or reconciliation.
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills, with experience using reporting or data management systems.
- Ability to work within established processes while demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage recurring deadlines.
- Relevant experience in banking, financial services, credit, lending, property or portfolio management would be highly regarded.
