About the role
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Practice Assistant to join our Perth Environment, Planning and Native Title team, providing dedicated support to Partner Sally Audeyev and her team.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Perth office, however, we will consider part-time applicants.
Working closely with Sally and the team, you'll play a key role in keeping the practice running smoothly. We're looking for someone who thinks ahead, takes initiative and enjoys helping busy professionals stay organised, meet deadlines and achieve great client outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to:
- Managing complex diaries and organising meetings
- Coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements
- Managing billing and financial administration, including bill preparation, WIP reporting and monitoring estimates
- Supporting matter management across a range of Environment, Planning and Native Title
- Preparing presentations, reports and client materials using PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
- Managing file administration, document management and archiving processes
- Maintaining client and matter information across firm systems
- Building robust relationships across the practice and business services teams
- Providing proactive support to help matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met
About You
- Previous experience as a Practice Assistant, Legal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Legal Executive or similar support role
- Strong billing experience,
including bill preparation, WIP reporting and financial administration
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to work independently and take initiative
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand priorities and outcomes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, team-focused approach and willingness to contribute to the broader practice
