Private Wealth Administrator - Graduate (FTC 6 Months)

Bell Potter Securities Limited is a leading stockbroking and financial advisory firm, part of the listed Bell Financial Group (ASX:BFG). We provide high-quality qualified advice to corporate, institutional and private clients across Australia.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing great service in the financial services industry to join our Private Wealth Service team based in Melbourne on a fixed term contract for 6 months. As part of the team, you will be providing investment administration services to advisers and their clients, with high levels of professionalism and customer service.

The Graduate Private Wealth Administrator works alongside senior administrators to deliver day-to-day administration and reporting for our clients on the Bell Potter Private Wealth Service. You will be a key point of contact for desk assistants and advisers for routine requests, and you will build a strong foundation across the full lifecycle of a client portfolio — from onboarding through to quarterly and annual reporting.

Responsibilities

- End-to-end onboarding of new Private Wealth Service accounts, including review and processing of application forms and quality control of the new client account establishment with our platform provider and share registries.
- Own portfolio cost reconstructions: Investigation and reconstruction of transaction cost histories,

including complex multi-source cost base information to ascertain realised and unrealised CGT positions for clients for a broad range of investments.
- Accurately report dividends, distributions, interest and other income with annual tax statements, including unlisted securities.
- Acting as a point of contact for advisers and desk assistants to resolve outstanding items prior to account establishment and on an ongoing basis for adhoc requests.
- Providing administrative support to Senior Private Wealth Administrators.

Requirements

- Qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce, securities or financial planning are an advantage but not mandatory.
- Suitable for a recent graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years of office administration experience, looking to take the next step in their career.
- A strong focus on achieving a high level of accuracy, following processes and procedures, and the ability to assume ownership of end-to-end tasks through to completion.
- An understanding of, or some exposure to, equities, managed funds, fixed interest, international shares, cash or corporate actions will be viewed favourably.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is required.

What We Offer

- A full-time role in a leading ASX-listed financial services group for 6 months.
- Structured training and mentoring from experienced administrators.

Please note only successful candidates will be notified.
