Procurement Officer | Perth, WA | Mining & Resources

We're working with a number of clients across mining, resources, energy and infrastructure in WA who are hiring Procurement Officers. Roles come up on both a permanent and contract basis.

About the Role

You'll sit within the supply chain team and look after the day-to-day buying activity for site and project operations.

Typical duties include:

- Raising and managing purchase orders end to end
- Sourcing quotes and comparing suppliers on price, lead time and availability
- Working with site and maintenance teams to understand what they need and when
- Following up suppliers on deliveries and sorting out issues when things run late
- Keeping supplier and pricing data accurate in the system
- Supporting the wider team with contract renewals and preferred supplier agreements
- Making sure buying activity follows company procedures and delegation limits

What we're looking for





- Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing or buying role
- Background in mining, resources, construction, energy or a related industrial sector
- Confident using an ERP system. Pronto, SAP, Ellipse, JDE or similar
- Valuable with Excel and comfortable working through data
- Strong communicator who can chase things up without annoying people
- Organised and able to juggle a lot of open orders at once
- Full working rights in Australia
