Product & Marketing Coordinator - Apparel / Merchandise

Want a marketing role where you actually get to create and work with products? CIMC Group is looking for a full time Product & Marketing Coordinator to work across apparel, merchandise, ecommerce, product development and client projects.

You will help take products from initial idea through design, sourcing, production, online sales and delivery, while also supporting the day-to-day coordination and administration that keeps client orders moving.

This is not a pure social media or campaign marketing role, and you don't need to be a graphic designer.

We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and creative, with some graphics experience or the confidence to learn the basic Adobe Illustrator skills required for the role.

We are open to both experienced coordinators and strong graduates or early-career candidates who can demonstrate the right aptitude, organisation and willingness to learn.

? About Us

CIMC Group is an established Brisbane-based family business with more than 40 years of experience supplying branded apparel, uniforms and promotional merchandise.

Our brands include

- Corporate Image Marketing - supplying branded merchandise, uniforms and promotional products to corporate clients and national organisations.
- Hoop2Hoop & Unite Sports - delivering custom apparel, uniforms and merchandise programs for sporting clubs and associations.

Our team manages the full merchandise process, including product design, sourcing, procurement, online stores, warehousing, decoration and dispatch. We are looking for a capable coordinator who can help manage our day-to-day workflow while also contributing to new products, ecommerce, marketing and brand development.

? About the Role

This is a broad, hands-on coordination role sitting between our clients, management, suppliers, designers and production team. While the role sits within the Marketing Coordinator category, the majority of your day-to-day work will be operational and administrative rather than traditional marketing.

Approximately 60% of the role involves sales support, product development and sourcing, client and order coordination, job administration, costing, product data and keeping projects moving accurately through our internal workflow.

The remaining 40% involves ecommerce, social content and marketing projects.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being organised, managing multiple jobs and making sure things are completed properly, but also wants creative exposure to apparel, merchandise, products and marketing.

You may currently be working as a Marketing Coordinator, Ecommerce Coordinator, Product Assistant, Merchandise Coordinator, Sales Coordinator or Marketing Assistant and be looking for broader commercial and product experience.

?️ Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

- Coordinating client orders from initial enquiry and quote through to production and final delivery.
- Managing daily administration, including accurate job sheets, item codes, pricing, product information and order costings.
- Following up jobs and deadlines and ensuring nothing is missed as work moves between clients, suppliers, design and production.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and warehouse teams to keep projects progressing.
- Supporting sales enquiries and quotations and helping move opportunities through to confirmed orders.
- Creating basic product artwork and apparel mockups using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Assisting with apparel and merchandise development, including sports club ranges, event merchandise, corporate uniforms and promotional products.
- Managing selected merchandise projects end-to-end, from initial concept and product selection through sourcing, production, delivery and sale.
- Researching apparel, merchandise and consumer trends and identifying potential new products.
- Sourcing products from Australian and overseas suppliers.
- Creating and maintaining Shopify product listings across multiple ecommerce stores.
- Working directly with management on marketing, including social media content, product promotions and campaign support.
- Assisting with product photography and marketing assets where required.
- Reviewing job information carefully and identifying errors, unusual pricing or inconsistencies before they become problems.
- Providing occasional event support, including sports events, retail activations or merchandise stalls on a Saturday or Sunday when additional support is required - approximately 3-5 times per year.
- Taking ownership of your responsibilities and ensuring work is delivered accurately, consistently and on time.

✅ What You’ll Need to Succeed

The most important things we are looking for are organisation, accuracy, initiative and the ability to learn.

You will need

- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple jobs, priorities and deadlines at the same time.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A practical approach to problem solving.
- The confidence to question something when it doesn't look right rather than simply processing it.
- Strong accuracy when working with pricing, product codes, job sheets and order information.

- The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions.
- A genuine interest in apparel, merchandise, products, branding or ecommerce.
- Some experience with graphic design or professional graphics software.
- Confidence using technology and learning new systems.

Graphic Design Experience

You do not need to be a graphic designer. Experience with Adobe Illustrator is highly regarded, but it is not essential.

We are also open to candidates with experience in Photoshop, InDesign or similar professional graphics software who are willing to learn Illustrator.

The Illustrator work involved is relatively basic - working with logos, vector artwork, apparel templates and product mockups.

We are more interested in someone with a good visual eye, basic graphics confidence and willingness to learn than advanced technical design ability.

Experience

Around 1-3 years' experience in marketing coordination, ecommerce, sales coordination, administration, merchandise, product or a similar office-based role would be ideal. However, we are also open to a strong graduate or early-career candidate who can demonstrate:

- Strong academic or professional results
- Good organisation and communication
- Initiative and common sense
- The ability to learn quickly
- A genuine interest in products, apparel, ecommerce or marketing

Experience in promotional products, apparel, uniforms, sporting merchandise, ecommerce or Shopify would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

? Why Join CIMC Group?

- A genuinely varied role - combine structured coordination and commercial experience with meaningful creative work.
- Work with real products - see apparel and merchandise progress from an idea on screen through to a finished product in the customer's hands.
- Broader experience - gain exposure to product development, sourcing, ecommerce, design, marketing, sales and operations.
- Direct access to decision-makers - work closely with management and have genuine input into products, campaigns and improvements.
- Autonomy and ownership - take responsibility for your work rather than operating as one small part of a large corporate team.
- Established business - join a Brisbane family business with more than 40 years of industry experience.
- Visible impact - in a smaller team, good work is noticed and your contribution directly affects our customers and results.

Salary

$65,000-$85,000 + Super, depending on experience and capability.

? How to Apply

If you are organised, commercially minded and interested in a role that combines product, apparel, ecommerce and marketing with meaningful sales support and administration, we'd like to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a short introduction outlining your relevant experience and why this type of role appeals to you.
