Global Creatures continues to develop and produce bold new theatrical productions for audiences around the world, including recent and returning works such as Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Roleplay, Gatsby: An American Myth and Boy Swallows Universe.

The role

Due to significant growth, we are seeking a commercially minded Production Finance Analyst to support the financial planning, reporting and administration of our live theatre productions. This is a unique opportunity for someone with solid financial analysis skills, excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and the ability to tell a clear story with the numbers and use data to influence key stakeholders. An interest in live performance will also help you contribute to productions across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

· Support the budgeting and forecasting process for production entities, including preparing, maintaining and updating production business cases, budgets, financial models and reports.





· Proactively gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders, and manage the flow of financial information between departments, stakeholders, the Executive and Board.

· Prepare, review and distribute production reports, including pre-production reports, weekly running reports, sales reports, investor reports, royalty statements and distribution reports.

· Support royalty, profit, pay-through and distribution processes, including preparing financial summaries, determining obligations and entitlements, calculating payments, distributing statements, managing timely payments and responding to related third-party queries.

· Analyse incoming financial reports, production accounting and third-party payments against contractual terms, accounting standards and best practice, including licensed production reporting and international payment obligations.

· Assist with corporate accounting and reporting activities related to production revenue streams, including journal entries, balance sheet adjustments, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, recharges between productions and entities, and regular GC financial reporting as required.

· Contribute to taxation,



audit and compliance processes by assisting with tax certification for production-related entities, preparing supporting materials for auditors and helping ensure production finance activity is effectively administered and accurately reported.

Key selection criteria

· Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, commerce, business or a related discipline.

· Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting or accounting, ideally within a multi-entity or production environment.

· Intermediate to advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with excellent analytical capability and attention to detail.

· Ability to interpret financial information, and tell a clear story with the numbers, communicating financial insights to key stakeholders

· Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities across multiple productions, deadlines and stakeholders.

· Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as well as autonomously when required.

· Experience within live performance, entertainment, media, events or production finance will be highly regarded.
