As our manufacturing capability grows, we are looking for a motivated and detail focused Production Technician to join our Mawson Lakes team.

This is not a traditional factory production.

You will work with advanced manufacturing equipment, high precision 3D printing and very small components where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail really matter.

You do not necessarily need previous medical device experience. Technical skills can be taught. We are looking for someone with the patience, care, curiosity and pride to learn them well.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will help manufacture Fertilis' next generation IVF medical devices.

You will manufacture, assemble, inspect and package precision components and devices within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.

Quality, traceability and patient safety are at the centre of everything we do. You will follow established processes, complete production documentation accurately and speak up when something does not look right.

You will work closely with our Production, Quality and Research and Development teams.

Because we are a growing company, you will be exposed to much more than a single production task. You will have the opportunity to learn how our equipment, manufacturing processes, quality systems, validation activities and production planning all work together.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate advanced manufacturing equipment, including high precision 3D printers





- Manufacture, assemble, inspect and package precision medical devices

- Complete production and traceability records accurately

- Work safely within controlled and cleanroom environments

- Maintain equipment and production areas

- Identify and report equipment, product or quality issues

- Support validation, continuous improvement and production planning

- Follow approved procedures and Fertilis' Quality Management System

About You

You enjoy detailed, hands on work and take pride in getting things right.

You are patient, methodical and able to maintain a high level of quality even when completing repetitive or intricate tasks.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

- Patience and care with intricate work
- A reliable, organised and methodical approach
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Good communication and basic computer skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team

- Confidence to ask questions and raise concerns
- The ability to follow procedures accurately

- Flexibility for occasional overtime or weekend work

- Australian working rights

Experience

Previous experience in medical devices, cleanrooms or manufacturing would be highly regarded, but it is not essential.

Experience in any of the following may be practical:

- Manufacturing or production

- Precision assembly

- Medical devices

- Pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments

- Cleanroom manufacturing

- Electronics assembly





- Laboratory or technical environments

- 3D printing or additive manufacturing

- ISO 13485 or GMP environments

We are interested in the right attitude and aptitude as much as previous job titles.

Some of the skills that suit this role can also come from outside work. Hobbies such as model making, jewellery making, electronics, detailed craft work, repairing small equipment or 3D printing can all demonstrate the patience and precision we are looking for.

If you are the sort of person who will spend a little longer getting something exactly right because almost right is not good enough, this role may suit you.
