The Role

Join The Decluttering Co. as a casual Professional Organiser working in homes across Melbourne.

You'll work with clients facing all sorts of circumstances, guiding them through sorting, organising, and resetting their spaces with attention to functionality.

Most days you'll be working independently in a client's home (sometimes in a duo), with a supportive team behind you.

Day to Day

Guide clients through decluttering and organising their homes with empathy and discretion

Build genuine, trusting relationships with clients

Keep every session productive, respectful, and free of judgement

Work independently in client homes, sometimes supporting people managing complex personal circumstances

Take donations to charity and some recycling to local centres

What You'll Bring A steady, non-judgemental presence and strong emotional resilience An understanding and/or acceptance of neurodivergent clients

Attention to detail A knack for organising spaces and solving practical problems on the spot

Physical fitness - comfortable lifting, moving items,



and being on your feet for hours at a time

Availability for at least 3 weekdays a week, in 4-8 hour shifts (8 hours is the exception rather than the rule) - but please note work can be sporadic

Ease working across a wide range of home environments

No allergies to dust or pets

Explicit, confident communication A genuine service mindset and collaboration with clients - it’s about what the client wants - not your aesthetic ideal A current driver's licence and access to a reliable car

Interest in recycling and keeping belongings out of landfill

Prior experience as a professional organiser is a plus but not a requirement
