Base Salary $230,000 to $250,000 + Superannuation

Lead the delivery of major projects that will contribute to the future sustainability and development of Western Australia. We have partnered with a major organisation undergoing significant investment and transformation, and they will be seeking an experienced Project Director to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of high impact engineering projects. This opportunity would allow you to work closely with Executive Management and the Board, leading high-impact projects..

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Delivery, you will lead a team of project professionals, providing technical and practical oversight across major projects from early development and investment through to delivery, commissioning and handover.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading complex projects from concept, definition and through to delivery
- Shaping scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, procurement and commercial strategies
- Supporting investment decisions and prepare Executive and Board submissions
- Establishing and managing administration of major contracts and vendors
- Leading internal project teams, external contractors and complex external relationships
- Managing project governance, risk, quality and performance
- Working regularly with Senior Management, the Executive Team and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Providing leadership,



mentoring and direction to project professionals
- Influence organisational learning through innovative feedback loops that support the organisation in achieving the overall strategy.

About You You will be an experienced Project Director or a delivery professional that sits in the senior leadership team with a strong background in major infrastructure, construction, utilities, resources, renewables or other complex asset led environments. You will play a role in

- Extensive experience directing large, complex capital or transformation projects, including responsibility for project governance, delivery frameworks, and performance oversight
- Excellent commercial, financial and risk management capability
- Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, including coaching, resource allocation, and performance management
- Confidence operating at Executive and senior stakeholder level and understanding the complexity of prioritisations
- Extensive skills in stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation, with the ability to build trust and influence senior leaders, partners, and regulatory bodies
- Robust governance and project management discipline




- A history of embedding a positive health and safety culture across all facets of delivery
- A strategic and pragmatic mindset balanced with the ability to adapt to change and decision making for high-value projects
- A passion to motivate a team based on highly quality outcomes and empathy
- Ability to work on-site, adapt to dynamic project environments, and maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, business, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, AIPM) are an advantage
