About the role

GDH Builders is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our energetic team in Yeppoon, QLD. This is a full-time position based on-site, offering an excellent opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial carpentry projects. As a Qualified Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and ensuring projects are completed to specification and on schedule.

Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the reputation and success of GDH Builders in the local community.

What you'll be doing

- Assembling and installing wooden structures such as frames, flooring, roofing, and fixtures according to plans and specifications
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Preparing work sites, including setting up scaffolding and ensuring safe working conditions
- Fitting and installing doors, windows, shelving, and cabinetry with precision and accuracy
- Performing finishing work including sanding, staining, and varnishing timber surfaces
- Collaborating with other tradespeople, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition and following all health and safety protocols
- Contributing to problem-solving in office and making recommendations for improved construction methods

What we're looking for

- A completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in carpentry with current Australian certification
- Proven experience as a qualified carpenter in residential and/or commercial building projects
- Knowledge of building codes,



safety standards, and best practices in the carpentry industry
- Robust communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively on-site

A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different job sites as required
