About the role

We are looking for a qualified and hands-on Electrician to join our growing manufacturing and processing facility in Kilmany, Gippsland.

This is a practical, site-based role suited to an electrician who enjoys working with machinery, industrial electrical systems, fault finding and maintenance.

You will work closely with our Plant Manager and operations team to keep the plant, machinery and electrical systems operating safely and reliably.

This is not a senior management or supervisory position. We are looking for someone who is technically capable, reliable and willing to get hands-on with the day-to-day electrical requirements of the site.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the facility.

- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on plant and processing equipment.

- Troubleshoot motors, pumps, sensors, control systems, switchboards and electrical equipment.

- Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of new machinery and equipment.

- Perform electrical inspections and testing as required.

- Maintain electrical systems in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and site procedures.

- Support the maintenance team with breakdowns and urgent electrical issues.

- Identify potential electrical and equipment issues before they become major breakdowns.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report completed work.

- Work with external electrical contractors and equipment suppliers when required.

- Assist with continuous improvement and reliability of plant and equipment.

- Maintain a strong focus on safety,



housekeeping and compliance.

About you

You will ideally have

- Australian Electrical Licence.

- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, processing, recycling or heavy machinery environments.

- Good electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience working with motors, pumps, sensors, control circuits and industrial equipment.

- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.

- Practical mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with general plant maintenance when required.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a small operational team.

- Strong safety awareness.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- A practical, hands-on approach to work.

- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Desirable experience

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

- PLC-controlled machinery

- VSDs / variable speed drives

- Motor control systems

- Conveyor systems

- Crushing, screening or processing equipment

- Pumps and hydraulic equipment

- Industrial sensors and instrumentation

- Switchboards

- Preventative maintenance systems

- Automated processing equipment





- Solar Farms / Battery Installations & Maintenance

You do not need to be an expert in all of the above. We are looking for someone with solid electrical fundamentals who is keen to learn and develop with the plant.
