About the Role

Melco Foods is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager – Food Safety to lead and develop our QA function across our food manufacturing operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System, food safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, QA, QC and CCP teams to ensure compliance, product quality and effective QA coverage across all shifts.

We are looking for a qualified QA professional with strong food manufacturing, high-care and audit experience, together with proven experience leading and developing QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive Quality Assurance programme.

- Maintain QA documentation and ensure QMS documents are accurate, complete and submitted on time.

- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee and conduct regular quality audits and checks across food production processes.

- Lead the QA team through internal and external audits and ensure audit requirements are met.

- Establish and maintain quality control standards and procedures.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and product enhancement.

- Investigate customer feedback and product quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.

- Stay current with industry regulations and maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards.

- Monitor performance against quality objectives, manage workloads and drive team engagement and capability development.

- Coach, mentor and train QA team members in GMP, HACCP, food safety and quality programmes.





- Lead and develop the site QA team across all shifts to ensure full operational coverage.

- Work closely with QA, QC and CCP teams to ensure seamless alignment between QA systems and on-floor QC activities.

About You

Essential

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

- Minimum 5–6 years experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.

- Proven experience working in a high-care food manufacturing setting.

- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety and quality management systems.

- Proven experience leading internal and external audits.

- Experience managing QMS documentation and regulatory compliance.

- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing QA teams across multiple shifts.

- Strong understanding of quality control processes and on-floor QC activities.

- Experience working closely with QA, QC and CCP teams.

- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Highly Desirable

- Experience in cooked or prepared food manufacturing.

- Experience with SQF or other recognised food safety and quality standards.

- Relevant HACCP, Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualifications.
