About the Role In this role, you'll take on a genuine dual focus, producing high-quality building replacement cost reports and conducting insurance property risk surveys across a broad and interesting portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, and residential strata properties, aged-care, hospitality venues, high-net-worth residences, farms, wineries, and more. It's an excellent opportunity to broaden your expertise across two closely related disciplines rather than being confined to one. You're someone who enjoys the balance of being on the road and in the office, and who can travel both regionally and interstate.

Office admin team manages scheduling and client communications, so you can focus on delivering great reports.

What You'll Be Doing

- Inspecting commercial, industrial, and residential buildings
- Documenting building construction materials and property risk information
- Measuring building size from plans, aerial imagery, or on-site




- Calculating replacement costs of buildings for insurance purposes
- Assessing property risk factors, construction, occupancy, protection, and exposure, for insurance risk surveys
- Capturing photos, including drone aerial imagery where permitted
- Preparing both building replacement cost reports and insurance property risk survey reports

What You Bring
- Current AIQS membership as a Quantity Surveyor, or current API membership as a CPV Valuer, or a diploma, degree, or tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Valuation, Estimating, Property, Construction, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of building construction materials and construction estimating costs
- Confident, clear communication and strong technical writing
- IT competence and willingness to learn new software
- Sharp problem-solving skills — you think on your feet
- A relationship-first mindset and a drive for great client experiences
- Ability to work independently while still being a strong team player
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage workloads against client deadlines
- Availability to travel to regional and interstate locations
- Australian/NZ citizenship or permanent residency
- A valid Australian driver's licence
- A clean National Police Check
