Program Manager - APAC

Contract to June 2027 with expected extensions

Maximum Day Rate - $645+Super

This is a unique opportunity to take regional ownership of a high-profile programme connecting education, skills development and employment pathways across Asia Pacific for a leading global technology organisation.

You will support existing education and community partnerships, help establish new programmes in priority markets and ensure regional delivery remains aligned with global standards while reflecting the needs of individual countries and communities.

At the centre of the role is the internship, apprenticeship and early careers programme. You will coordinate the full programme lifecycle across multiple Asia Pacific locations, connecting education partners, community teams, recruiters, hiring managers, internal stakeholders and external organisations to create meaningful pathways into the technology and data-centre workforce.

What you will be doing

- Lead end-to-end internship, apprenticeship and early careers programme delivery across Asia Pacific.

- Translate global strategy into practical regional plans, priorities, roadmaps and success measures.

- Coordinate programmes across multiple APAC countries, communities and time zones.

- Work with recruiters and hiring managers to align student and graduate pipelines with future workforce demand.

- Partner with universities, colleges, technical institutes and community organisations.

- Adapt global programme models to local education systems, workforce requirements and market conditions.

- Establish programme governance, operating rhythms, reporting, risk management and decision-making processes.

- Manage dependencies across multiple communities, workstreams and stakeholder groups.

- Use programme data and participant feedback to assess outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Develop scalable processes, playbooks, templates and tools to support continued regional growth.

- Prepare programme updates,

briefing materials and executive-level reporting for regional and global stakeholders.

The broader programme includes curriculum alignment, scholarships and bursaries, donated equipment and simulation labs, mentorship, internships and apprenticeships – all designed to create stronger pathways from education into employment.

What we are looking for

You will be an experienced programme professional who is comfortable operating across a large, complex multinational environment.

Ideally, you will have:

- Four to five years of relevant experience within a multinational organisation.

- Experience leading regional internship, graduate, apprenticeship, early careers, education or workforce development programmes.

- Strong end-to-end programme management experience across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.

- Experience working with recruiters and hiring managers as part of broader workforce or talent programmes.

- Exposure to universities, colleges, vocational education providers or other education partners.

- Experience establishing governance, managing risks and dependencies and translating strategy into delivery.

- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across a matrix organisation without direct authority.

- Experience working across Asia Pacific markets and cultures.

- Robust reporting and analytical capability using contemporary reporting, collaboration and data tools.

- The ability to create structure in evolving environments and comfortably navigate ambiguity.

Experience within technology, infrastructure, data centres, community affairs, social impact or corporate responsibility would be highly regarded.

This is much broader than a traditional graduate or internship programme role.

You will have visible Asia Pacific ownership within a global programme, influence how the model develops across the region and help connect education directly with employment opportunities in communities experiencing significant technology and infrastructure investment.
