About the Role

The Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for leading the Australian Museum's partnerships function, driving the development and implementation of strategies that secure and grow both cash and in‑kind support.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, Communications & Partnerships, you will identify priority assets and prospects, set clear financial targets, and ensure partnerships are aligned to organisational priorities.

You’ll guide a high‑performing team to achieve sales targets, cultivate new business opportunities, steward existing partner relationships, and ensure all contractual obligations are delivered to a high standard. The role also involves collaborating across the organisation to ensure partnerships align with corporate priorities and governance requirements.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives on delivering measurable results and building long‑term, value‑based relationships.

Employment Status

- Fixed Term up to 2 years
- Full Time, 35 hours per week

You will be paid a competitive total remuneration package of $175,052 - $202,449, including an annual salary $154,231 - $178,369, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading.

About you

You are a strategic and commercially astute partnerships leader with a strong track record of securing and growing corporate revenue streams. You understand how to translate organisational priorities into compelling partnership propositions and build enduring, value‑driven relationships.

You are collaborative, resilient and outcomes‑focused,



with the credibility and professionalism to represent the Australian Museum and contribute meaningfully to its strategic success.

To be eligible for this role at the Australian Museum, you must hold full working rights in Australia and meet all essential requirements listed in the position description.

Knowledge and Experience

- Extensive experience in developing and implementing successful partnership strategies, including business development and account management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to steward high‑value partners and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements
- Experience leading and developing teams to meet sales and performance goals
- Financial acumen, including budget management and cost‑benefit analysis
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight timeframes
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in sales and marketing or a related discipline.
