About the role

This isn't a caretaker role. We need someone who wants to get in the trenches, push standards higher, and take an already-excellent operation to the next level.

You will take full ownership of front-of-house performance, team culture, and guest experience, reporting directly to Ben Jacob, Head of Hospitality. It's a floor-based role — you'll be visible, hands-on and setting the tone in every service, not managing from an office.

Masseria's lunch-focused trading model gives a driven manager real influence over the business without sacrificing every evening to do it.

Key responsibilities

- Own guest satisfaction — lead from the floor every service, and drive standards across every shift
- Lead, roster and train a professional FOH team with authority, clarity, and consistency
- Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
- Manage labour, stock, ordering, and operational performance against budget
- Work closely with Ben Jacob on strategy and continuous improvement
- Ensure seamless FOH and BOH integration during service, plus weddings, functions and private events
- Deliver exceptional guest experience, including hands-on service recovery
- Build wine knowledge across the team so staff can confidently guide guests through the list and tastings
- Maintain compliance with licensing, WH&S;, and food safety regulations

About you

- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a fine dining or premium casual dining setting
- Robust leadership presence and the ability to lead a professional team with confidence
- Deep understanding of service standards and guest experience
- Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge, with the ability to operate within a premium wine program
- Commercial awareness, including labour and cost control
- Highly organised, decisive,



and solutions-focused
- Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional experiences
- Full Australian working rights required
