Role Description The Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, responsible for performing restoration and mitigation services in commercial and institutional facilities. Day-to-day tasks include assessing damage to property and contents, carrying out water damage restoration, supporting mold and invasive species remediation activities, and using appropriate tools and equipment to restore affected areas safely and efficiently. The technician collaborates closely with supervisors, team members,



and clients, providing explicit communication about work progress, safety considerations, and expected timelines.

Additional responsibilities may include documenting job details, following company and industry safety standards, assisting with emergency call-outs, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of water-related issues, including Water Damage and Water Damage Restoration, and the ability to apply appropriate restoration techniques.
- Experience with mitigation practices and understanding of Mitigation strategies to minimize further damage and protect assets.
- Awareness of environmental and property impacts from Invasive Species and ability to support remediation efforts in affected areas.
- Strong Communication skills for coordinating with team members, supervisors, and clients, and for clear documentation of work performed.
- Previous experience in restoration, facilities maintenance, or a related trade is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work in varied conditions, and follow safety protocols and industry standards.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours or emergency response work when required.
- Relevant certifications in restoration or cleaning (e.g., IICRC or similar) are an advantage but not mandatory.
