EGroup Protective Services Group is currently looking for a highly experienced candidate with Emergency Management Experience to take on our Retail Site Security Manager’s role at a premium location in Melbourne's CBD. The Security Manager is expected to work as a team member within an integrated services model and has experience managing a 24/7 security team, in a dynamic retail environment. Experience in developing and updating SOP’s and risk assessments is an integral part of the role.
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the team's performance, delivering effective service outcomes in line with client standards and requirements. The Security Manager will be the primary point of contact working closely with both the Centre Management and EGroup Management teams.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies and procedures to mitigate risks and protect our clients' assets
- Managing a team of security officers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
- Liaising with clients, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on security incidents and operations
- Staying up to date with industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements in the security field
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience, minimum 5 years' experience in security management, preferably within the security services industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on risk mitigation
- Thorough understanding of security protocols, procedures, and relevant legislation
- Proficient in the use of security-related technology and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Compulsory requirements:
- Current Security License
- Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management or similar (Desirable)
- First Aid Certificate
- Permanent Working Rights
