Role Description The Rope Access Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Brisbane City, QLD. This role oversees daily rope access operations, including planning work at height activities, coordinating rigging setups, and ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. The supervisor leads and mentors rope access technicians, conducts pre-start briefings, performs risk assessments, and monitors compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and site-specific requirements.

Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining rope access equipment, documenting work performed, liaising with clients and site representatives, and responding to operational challenges in real time.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance oversight.
- Proficiency in rope access techniques and work at height practices, with relevant industry certifications (e.g., IRATA or equivalent).
- Experience with rigging, including setup, inspection, and safe use of lifting and access equipment.
- Valid BOSIET or equivalent offshore safety training, or willingness to obtain if required.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident prevention in high-risk environments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and safety documentation.
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding rope access and work at height tasks, in line with safety and medical requirements.
- Previous experience in rope access supervision or senior technician roles; experience in construction, maintenance, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
