RTO Aquatics Trainer - Pool Lifeguard

Due to continued growth Royal Life Saving SA is looking for casual trainers to join the team.

Royal Life Saving SA RTO code 0996 is the peak trainer of water safety education and lifesaving in the aquatic industry. Operating throughout South Australia, we run both accredited training and community training to ensure that anyone can be a lifesaver in the community.

Due to recent business growth, we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced trainers who can train and assess the following courses in South Australia.

- Pool Lifeguard Skill Set (SISSS00133)

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead our vision of zero drownings in South Australia
- Conduct training and assessment in accordance with course outlines
- Conduct inspection and maintenance of equipment used for training; ensure equipment is safe
- Maintain all participant details/records in accordance with RLSS SA procedures
- Ensure that training is delivered in accordance with national standards

Opportunities also exist for training including, Swim Teacher, Aquatic Technical Operator and Bronze Medallion courses and:




- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009)
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (HLTAID012)
- Provide First Aid in a remote or isolated site (HLTAID013)
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)
- Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy (HLTAID015)
- Manage first aid services and resources (HLTAID016)

Skills & Expertise:

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110 plus TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B)
- Currently hold unit of competencies relevant to the training area of expertise
- Maintain industry currency in the training area of expertise within the last 3 years
- Training and assessing experience
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills
- Must hold a current Working With Children Clearance (WWCC)
