- HEW 6 - $95,177 p.a. (pro-rata) plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role As the Safer Communities Officer, you will provide person-centred case management and support through risk assessment, safety planning, case management and referrals; and contribute to equity and prevention programs across the university.

You will

- contribute to the implementation of the University's Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan;
- maintain effective case management techniques including timely, concise case notes, data collection and safe storage of information;
- facilitate consultation with diverse student cohorts to ensure effectiveness of equity initiatives in the prevention and response of discrimination and gender-based violence;
- consult and engage with diverse student cohorts to ensure effectiveness of equity initiatives in the prevention and response of discrimination and gender-based violence; and
- contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, web documents and training materials in alignment with role.

About you Reporting to the Coordinator, Safer Communities you will have demonstrated experience and expertise providing trauma-informed and person-centred case management. You will also have demonstrated success working in an equity related field providing client services. Experience in the areas of discrimination and gender-based violence will be highly regarded.

You will possess

- excellent written and verbal communication skills,



including the ability to create high-quality case notes, reports and presentations;
- applied understanding of equity and inclusion principles, intersectionality and cultural safety and a commitment to ongoing learning and development;
- demonstrated ability to exercise sound qualified judgement and manage competing priorities while responding to complex and sensitive situations;
- demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- qualifications that meet the mandatory minimum qualifications (MMQ) requirements for specialist family violence response roles in Victoria (or working towards these).
