We are seeking experienced SAFETY ENGINEER to join our project team in Brisbane.
Your role is to use your engineering skills and knowledge to ensure everyone returns home from work safely each day. You will scrutinise every aspect of the workplace, identify potential health and safety hazards and devise ways to minimise or eliminate those risks. Ensure facilities adhere to safety protocols and regulations by conducting safety inspections and tests.
IPCQ is a Queensland-based company with work all over Australia and long-term opportunity is available for the right candidate. Duties include but will not be limited to:
Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments for operational activities to proactively identify dangers
Plan, manage and review the performance of Safety programs
Develop, implement and evaluate risk management policies and programs
Inspect machinery, equipment, and facilities to detect potential safety, fire, or health risks
Develop, update, and enforce safety policies, procedures,
and Emergency Response Plans
Ensure compliance with all safety laws (e.g., OSHA, OSHA Philippines) and standards
Conduct safety briefings and training for employees on PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and protected work practices
Evaluate and improve workplace safety systems
Report, Investigate and help manage accidents
Enforce safety policies and ensure all breaches are reported Desirable traits and will highly be regarded:

Excellent attention to detail, as they must identify and rectify any potential safety hazards before they become serious threats
Must have robust knowledge on the technical aspects of the industry. Understand machinery, structures and processes to identify safety concerns and develop effective solutions
