About the Role

As Operations Manager at The Capitol, you'll be the heartbeat of the hotel, the person every department turns to when things need to happen, quick. One minute you're solving a guest's problem before they've finished asking, the next you're rallying the team through a big check-in day or a full house on a Friday night.

You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with the General Manager across everything from Front Office to Food & Beverage, building the commercial nous, people leadership and operational instincts that set you up for your next move. Key Accountabilities

- Oversee day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B; and Maintenance, stepping in as Manager on Duty as required.
- Lead,



coach and roster a team that consistently delivers great guest experiences.
- Own the guest experience end-to-end, resolving escalations and managing VIP relationships personally.
- Ensure departments follow hotel policies, cashiering controls and health and safety standards.
- Lead crisis and incident management on shift, including reporting.
- Act as a visible brand ambassador for The Capitol and EVT.

What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience in a hotel operations or duty management role, ideally within a premium or independent hotel environment.
- A hands-on, non-hierarchical leadership style, comfortable working across every department and every level of the team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement under pressure, particularly during guest escalations or incidents.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine focus on guest experience and team culture.
- Working knowledge of hotel systems, cashiering procedures and health and safety practices.
- A growth mindset, always looking to learn, share knowledge and lift the capability of those around you.
