About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a growing business within the construction industry. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll oversee all financial operations, provide strategic commercial insights, and lead a high-performing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day financial management with strategic business partnering in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.




- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory obligations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while strengthening financial controls and governance.
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver commercial insights and support strategic decision-making.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA or CA highly regarded).
- 7+ years' experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Proven leadership experience with solid commercial acumen and the ability to influence business decisions.
