Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

- Certificate IV in Real Estate or completion of the prescribed education requirements to work as an Agent’s Representative in Victoria
- A genuine passion for the real estate industry
- Full-time availability
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Positive, motivated and driven attitude

Previous real estate or sales experience is highly regarded but not essential for the Sales Assistant position, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.

Sales Assistant – Role & Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant, you will work closely with our Sales Agents and wider team to support day-to-day sales activities, property campaigns, prospecting and client relationships. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about real estate and wants to develop the skills and experience required to progress into a successful Sales Agent role.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting Sales Agents with daily sales activities and administration
- Attending sales meetings, team meetings and training sessions
- Conducting database calls, prospecting and client follow-up
- Cold calling prospective clients and identifying potential opportunities
- Assisting with door knocking and appointment generation
- Preparing listing presentations and listing kits
- Preparing marketing kits and sales appraisal documentation




- Coordinating property marketing and advertising campaigns
- Managing advertising schedules and campaign deadlines
- Maintaining and updating the CRM and client database
- Building and nurturing relationships with prospective buyers and vendors
- Assisting with buyer enquiries and follow-up
- Assisting with vendor communication and campaign updates
- Preparing properties and marketing materials for inspections
- Assisting with open homes and private inspections
- Assisting at auctions
- Supporting agents with buyer follow-up after inspections
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
- Providing general sales and administrative support as required
- Developing local market knowledge and understanding recent sales and competing properties
- Continuously developing prospecting, negotiation and sales skills
- Working towards progression into a Sales Agent role

Sales Agent – Role & Responsibilities

As a Sales Agent, you will be responsible for generating new business, listing and selling properties, developing strong relationships with vendors and buyers, and delivering outstanding results for our clients. You will be supported by our administration, marketing, technology and management teams, allowing you to focus on building relationships and growing your sales business.

Your responsibilities will include

- Prospecting for new business through phone calls, database management, door knocking, networking and referrals
- Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective vendors
- Conducting property appraisal appointments
- Preparing and presenting professional property appraisals
- Preparing and delivering listing presentations
- Securing new property listings
- Negotiating agency agreements and marketing campaigns with vendors
- Developing effective sales and marketing strategies for each property
- Coordinating property launches and marketing campaigns
- Conducting open homes and private inspections
- Managing buyer enquiries and buyer appointments
- Qualifying and following up prospective buyers
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with buyers and vendors
- Providing vendors with regular feedback and campaign updates
- Negotiating offers between buyers and vendors
- Managing negotiations to achieve the best possible outcome for clients
- Managing properties from listing through to sale and settlement
- Attending and assisting with property auctions
- Following up past clients to generate repeat and referral business
- Building, maintaining and nurturing a high-quality client database
- Developing relationships within the local community




- Maintaining detailed knowledge of the local property market
- Monitoring recent sales, competing listings and market trends
- Meeting agreed prospecting, appraisal, listing and sales targets
- Maintaining accurate records and CRM activity
- Working closely with administration, marketing and property management teams
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and compliance with relevant real estate legislation
- Representing the LJ Hooker brand professionally at all times
- Participating in ongoing sales, systems and professional development training
