Employment type: 1x Permanent Full Time (38 Hours per week)

Rate: As per the Latrobe City Council EnterpriseAgreement including applicable allowances

We're looking for a Maternal and Child Health Nurse –Universal and Enhanced Services to join our Family Services team. In thisrole, you'll provide advisory, supportive and educative primary health servicesto families with children from birth to school age, helping to improve childhealth, wellbeing and developmental outcomes through early intervention,prevention and family-centred care.

What You'll be Doing

- DeliverKey Age and Stage consultations, health assessments and developmentalmonitoring for children from birth to school age.




- Conductinitial home visits and provide ongoing support to families throughUniversal and Enhanced Maternal and Child Health programs.
- Identifyvulnerable and at-risk children and families, providing earlyintervention, support and referrals to appropriate specialist services.
- Developstrong relationships with parents, carers, community agencies and healthprofessionals to support integrated service delivery.
- Provideeducation and guidance to parents on child health, development, parentingand family wellbeing.
- Maintainaccurate client records, case notes and reporting requirements in linewith legislative and program standards.

About You

You are a compassionate and experienced Maternal and ChildHealth professional who is passionate about supporting children and families tothrive. You bring strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills anda family-centred approach to care. You enjoy building trusted relationshipswith families and stakeholders and are committed to providing high-qualityservices that improve health and wellbeing outcomes for children.

Key Selection Criteria

- Demonstratedknowledge of Universal and Enhanced Maternal and Child Health principles,guidelines and practice.
- Provenexperience providing advisory, supportive and educative primary healthservices to families with children from birth to school age, includingvulnerable and at-risk families.
- Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positiverelationships with families, multidisciplinary teams and community serviceproviders.




- RegisteredNurse (Division 1), registered with AHPRA, with qualifications inMidwifery and Maternal and Child Health/Child and Family Health. Weencourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds andexperiences, even if you don't meet every requirement.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for andsatisfactorily obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children's Check

A current Victorian Driver Licence is also required.
