Applications are invited for a Teaching Position in Mathematics and Science (Years 7 - 10). This is a full time contract role for Term 4, 2026.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Mt St Michael's College is a Catholic girls' school of 900 students (Years 5 - 12) situated in the leafy avenues of Ashgrove, 5 kms from the CBD. The College maintains a tradition of academic excellence, extensive co-curricular activities, and student wellbeing programs across the College. Mt St Michael's College seeks applications from innovative and dynamic educators who will enthusiastically engage with the educational vision and mission of the College.

The College has a full-time teaching contract for a Mathematics and Science Teacher (Years 7 - 10) commencing 6 October 2026 until 4 December 2026.

THE SELECTION CRITERIA

SC1 – An understanding of and commitment to the aims of Catholic Education and the mission, vision and values of Mt St Michael’s College.

SC2 – Knowledge and experience with the relevant curriculum area demonstrating an understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCE processes.





SC3 – Demonstrated excellence in teaching with extensive knowledge of contemporary pedagogies as they relate to the education of girls.

SC4 – Demonstrated excellence in integrating digital technology into a contemporary learning environment.

SC5 – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents/carers and staff within a high-performing College culture.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

All applications will be considered, leading to a shortlist and followed by interviews with the Acting Principal and other appropriate delegates. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and interviews will be held on a rolling basis. We encourage early applications to ensure consideration.

- A covering letter identifying your teaching areas
- A document containing written responses to the Selection Criteria
- A CV outlining a Queensland Teacher Registration Number, qualifications and experience and the names and contact details of three professional referees.
