The role:

We are looking for a Security Operations Analyst to join our Cyber Security team in Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in cyber security. Working alongside experienced security professionals, you'll be responsible for monitoring and responding to security events,



supporting incident investigations, and helping protect a range of sovereign and government-focused customers.

We're looking for someone who is highly motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about cyber security. Previous security experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals.

This is a Brisbane-based role requiring 5 days per week onsite. Standard business hours apply, with participation in an on-call roster as required.

Please note: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and triage security alerts across endpoint, email, identity and security monitoring platforms
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating complex issues to senior analysts when required
- Support the delivery of Security Operations Centre (SOC) services across a range of customers
- Assist with threat detection, incident response and security investigations
- Document incidents, findings, procedures and lessons learned
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cyber security controls
- Build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders




- Collaborate with senior analysts and engineers to strengthen security outcomes for customers
- Continuously develop your cyber security knowledge and technical capabilities

What skills and experience you bring:

- Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain NV1 Security Clearance
- A genuine passion for cyber security and desire to build a long-term career in the industry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced team members
- Previous experience in IT support, service desk, infrastructure support, cyber security or a related technical role is highly regarded
- Relevant cyber security studies, certifications or personal learning projects are highly regarded
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team workplace

Technical skills in some of the following areas is beneficial:

- Understanding of phishing attacks and email security concepts
- Knowledge of identity and access management principles, including MFA and conditional access
- Understanding of malware, ransomware and common cyber threats
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or similar
- Exposure to SIEM and security monitoring platforms
- Understanding of cyber security frameworks and best practices
- Microsoft 365 and cloud security fundamentals
- Basic incident response and security investigation concepts
