An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a growing Outsourced Accounting team. This is a hands-on, client-facing position where you will take ownership of the full accounting cycle across a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll work closely with business owners, CFOs and internal accounting teams, providing high-quality bookkeeping, payroll and accounting support while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

About the role:

- Managing the full accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across a portfolio of clients
- Processing, coding and publishing bills and raising receivable invoices
- Completing full bank reconciliations, including importing statements, coding, matching and splitting transactions
- Managing end-to-end payroll processes, including payroll tax calculations and payroll balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconciling superannuation, PAYG withholding, FBT, annual leave, long service leave and payroll tax accounts
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and adjusting journals
- Reviewing GST activity statements and ensuring accurate reporting
- Managing statutory reporting deadlines including IAS, BAS, payroll tax and superannuation
- Preparing draft financial reports for review




- Working directly with clients to resolve queries and provide proactive accounting support
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and efficiencies
- Collaborating with CFO, Compliance and Tax specialists

About You:

- 5+ years’ experience within bookkeeping or accounting
- Experience working across multiple entities, ideally within a professional services, Chartered Accounting or family office environment
- A relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
- Robust Xero experience; Xero certification is highly regarded
- Experience with Hubdoc, or similar document management platforms
- Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, including payroll compliance and reconciliations
- Excellent understanding of GST, BAS, IAS, payroll tax and superannuation requirements
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Strong communication skills and a genuine client-service mindset
