Project Overview

Our client, a major Australian airline group, is undertaking a large-scale Data Modernisation Program, rebuilding its data foundations and migrating to a modern cloud data platform on Snowflake. We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the program and rotate across its five workstreams, working wherever the business need is greatest at any given time.

This is a role for someone with real data fluency rather than deep technical depth — you're comfortable talking data, understand how a data warehouse and data lake work, and can turn business needs into clear requirements for data teams.

Just as important is your personality: this is a large,



still-maturing program that moves fast, with shifting priorities and a stretched team. You'll need to be genuinely resilient, comfortable with minimal direction, and able to build strong relationships with a broad (and occasionally demanding, but good-natured) stakeholder group

Key Responsibilities

- Rotate across all five workstreams of the program based on business priority
- Elicit and document business and data requirements across a wide stakeholder group
- Bridge business and technical teams, translating needs into requirements for data engineers and architects
- Support data profiling, mapping and analysis across DW, DL and Snowflake environments
- Contribute to the Snowflake migration, capturing current- and target-state processes
- Bring a data lens to the program's AI initiatives

Skills & Experience

Essential

- Proven Senior BA experience on large, complex programs
- Strong data literacy and experience working on data platforms
- Solid understanding of data warehouse and data lake concepts
- Resilience, adaptability, and comfort operating with minimal direction in a quick-changing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

- Snowflake or cloud data platform experience
- Exposure to data migration or AI-related programs
