The Senior Laboratory Technician role is practical and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on the application of a range of chemical analyses, including:
- Wet chemistry (titrations)
- Electroanalytical techniques
- Spectroscopy
- ICP – mass spectrometry.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests of liquids and solids
- Process and prepare samples and chemical solutions
- Maintain the calibration of laboratory equipment
- Monitor product quality and production processes
- Prepare detailed reports, charts and diagrams to communicate results
- Support innovations in chemical products and processes
- Develop and validate methods for analytical purposes
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science majoring in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Chemical Technology
