About Us

Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) owns and operates Western Australia’s newest gold mine – the Murchison Gold Project, located 50 km north of Meekatharra.

The project comprises both open pit and underground mining, with an initial mine life of 9 years. Gold production commenced in July 2025 and site activities are rapidly ramping up.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Metallurgist to provide technical leadership and drive process optimisation across our gold processing operations.

About the Role Reporting directly to the Processing Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day metallurgical performance of the process plant and laboratory, delivery of optimisation projects, and high-quality metallurgical reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a proactive, safety-focused qualified who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment. The position is offered on an attractive 8 days on / 6 days off roster, FIFO ex-Perth.

Key Responsibilities

- Uphold and continuously improve metallurgical standards, procedures and operating guidelines
- Provide rapid and effective troubleshooting for recovery, throughput, reagent usage and overall plant stability issues
- Identify performance improvement opportunities and lead the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct metallurgical evaluations and provide specialist input into capital projects, feasibility studies and detailed engineering design
- Actively promote and reinforce a strong safety-first and risk-aware culture
- Mentor, coach and develop graduate metallurgists,



junior metallurgists and laboratory personnel to build long-term site capability

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ operational experience in gold processing, with strong exposure to CIL/CIP circuits
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels – from operators through to senior management
- Current (less than 6 months old) National Police Clearance
