One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Senior Microsoft Azure Integration Specialist - EL1
Please check below all the job details:
1. Contract Duration: 21 Months (09 Months initially + 12 Months extension)
2. Work Location: Canberra - 18 Marcus Clarke Street Civic
3. Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above.
4. Tentative Start Date: 1st Oct 2026
5. Working Hours: 7.5 hours a day/ 37.5 hours a week
Overview: The Specialist will perform the following tasks:
- Co-design and deliver integration solutions that enable data sharing across COTs and custom-built applications including but not limited to EAP, TRIM, SAP and bespoke applications using APIs and Web Services.
- Develop and maintain Azure integration solutions and Web APIs including improving Azure DevOps pipelines and components including functions used for deployment.
- Develop document and architecture artefacts throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Identify the root cause of priority issues and work collaboratively across teams to resolve these on agreed timeframes.
- Provide mentoring to other developers and applications support team.
- Design approaches to data sharing across Azure storage solutions.
- Collaborate with clients at all levels including non-technical clients to ensure that deliverables are met in accordance with milestones.
- Identify, evaluate and report on risks in the delivery of project outcomes.
- Promote workplace safety, equity and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace and acting in accordance with department's values and behaviours.
Mandatory Experience:
Demonstrated experience in developing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Cloud components, including, but not limited to:
1. Microsoft Azure ESB.
2. Microsoft Azure App Service.
3. Microsoft Azure Functions.
4. Microsoft Azure API Manager.
- Formal qualifications in IT, computer science or related discipline or 5+ years’ equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing composite application with contemporary integration products using the Microsoft products stack, including, but not limited to: Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Demonstrated experience in liaison and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders with valuable communication skills in written and verbal context.
- Demonstrated experience in working in multidisciplinary teams in a complex ICT environment.
- Demonstrated experience in application life cycle management and itil practices.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies. Technology directions and strategic application to business needs.
Desirable experience
- Experience in building and deploying applications via VSTS (Azure Dev Ops).
- Experience in building and maintaining SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) solutions.
- Experience in strategic planning and providing governance and management of ICT projects.
- Experience in working in Agile environments.
- Industry certification or current study towards certification in a relevant ICT field.
