Description
- End-to-end processing of high-volume payrolls across fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and remuneration frameworks
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, superannuation, payroll tax, workers compensation and statutory obligations
- Managing payroll month-end activities including payroll tax, long service leave levies and reconciliations
- Processing complex payroll transactions including overtime, allowances, leave entitlements, back pays and salary adjustments
- Partnering closely with HR to manage employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, terminations, redundancies, promotions and remuneration reviews
- Conducting payroll audits, reconciliations and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Providing expert payroll advice and support to employees, managers and stakeholders
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and supporting future system enhancements
Profile
- Proven experience in a senior payroll position within a complex, high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Experience processing payroll across multiple states and employee groups
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong systems capability, with experience across multiple payroll and HRIS platforms highly regarded
- A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to contribute to payroll process optimisation
