Senior Procurement and Logistics Officer

The Role
This is a new, standalone Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer position created to establish the procurement division out of Finance and build a dedicated group-wide supply chain function from scratch.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working in close partnership with the COO, you will hold complete ownership over establishing supply chain processes, rolling out workflows and standardizing procurement controls across all business units.
As business volume grows, this role offers a clear trajectory to build and manage a dedicated procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & Governance Creation: Develop, document, and roll out procurement policies, governance controls, PO processes, and develop master service agreements across the Group.
- Strategic Sourcing & Tendering: Lead end-to-end RFQ processes, tender evaluations, commercial negotiations, and supplier benchmarking to optimize cost savings and service levels.
- Logistics & Inventory Control: Coordinate freight and logistics operations supporting site activities (including Wubin and Malaga hubs), manage critical spares, and maintain stock accuracy.
- ERP & Systems Optimization: Utilize MYOB Acumatica to automate workflows,
improve data visibility, build procurement KPI dashboards, and leverage modern digital tools.
- Stakeholder & Change Management: Partner closely with executive leadership, site operations, and commercial teams to coach internal stakeholders through new procurement processes and strengthen vendor relationships.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics within mining, mining services or heavy industry
- Demonstrated capability to scope, write, test, and implement procurement frameworks in a energetic or "blank canvas" environment.
- Experience managing RFQ, tender and end to end procurement processes
- Comfortable being client facing and leading internal change management piece to support the transition out of Finance
- Outstanding negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems (MYOB Acumatica experience is highly regarded) and spend analytics.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
