About the Role:

Metrowest is seeking a skilled Security and Communications Technician to join our growing team. With diverse projects across the Perth Metro area, every day offers new challenges. We are looking for someone who can work both autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality security system installations, maintenance, and communication solutions.

The main tasks of this role include:

1. Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.

2. Data and communications network installations – including Cat 6A, Fibre, Coax networks, etc.

3. Commissioning and testing of security systems

4. Cabling and equipment installation for security systems

5. Fault diagnosis and repair for security systems and associated infrastructure.

6. Conduit, cable tray, catenary wires, and cable containment & support.

7. Provide technical support to clients and ensure timely follow-ups for service requests.

To be considered, you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in:

1. Troubleshooting and resolving security system faults.

2. Installing and maintaining security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarms.

3. Sound knowledge of HSE practices and adherence to safety protocols.

4.



Knowledge of current Australian standards for communications and security installations.

5. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

6. Knowledge of and experience with Tecom, Inner Range, Hikvision and Bosch systems

Required Licenses

1. Current Drivers Licence.

2. Open Cabling License

3. WA Security license

Desirable Licenses, Knowledge and Experience

1. Work safely at heights

2. Experience in data & communications installations, including Cat 6A, Fibre, and Coax networks

3. Orange Card (scissor lift under 11m)
