New Auckland Place is a family owned, 128 bed Aged Care Facility in Gladstone, QLD. We pride ourselves with having a excellent rapport within the community and are renowned for staff retention.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Officer to provide essential support across rostering, payroll, employee onboarding, and workforce administration functions. This role is responsible for coordinating staff rosters, maintaining workforce scheduling systems, supporting payroll administration, and managing onboarding processes to ensure new employees are welcomed, compliant, and ready to commence work. In addition, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.

Working closely with management and operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate workforce records, coordinating roster changes, supporting payroll processes, facilitating employee onboarding, and ensuring administrative systems and documentation are managed efficiently and in accordance with organisational requirements.

Demonstrated ability to work well in a diverse team, while also possessing the skills to work autonomously and managing competing priorities.

A friendly and personable disposition with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with staff, residents and their families and other stakeholders.





Proven experience using rostering systems including the management of roster changes, shift variations, leave request and workforce scheduling requirements.

Experience supporting payroll processes, including timesheet review, data accuracy, and payroll-related administration.

Experience coordinating employee onboarding, including preparation of employment documentation, compliance checks, system setup, and induction administration.

Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing operational and workforce needs.

Ability to maintain accurate records, ensure data integrity, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve rostering and administration issues proactively.

Proficient use of Microsoft office suite.

Previous experience in an aged care administration role, with an understanding of workforce coordination, rostering, and payroll processes within a residential aged care environment.

Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's strengthened quality standards.

Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field (desirable).
